Paintball Outfit Ideas What to Wear

What You Should Wear To Paintball

Paintball is a thrilling outdoor adventure that will have you changing direction like a second line escort at a New Orleans funeral. It requires the perfect combination of agility, skill, and strategy; but without the right attire, you may be leaving the field with more applicable bodily art than you intended. What you wear to a day of paintball is as essential as the equipment you bring. Your gear will determine your agility, safety, and gameplay.

In paintball, dress for combat and choose clothing that is breathable and allows you freedom of movement. Some parks require that all participants wear full paintball masks/helmets and that additional face, neck and ear protection be worn. Bring extra clothing for the day-long battle; take plastic or trash bags to store them in. Combat style boots are helpful for comfort and grip.

You will want your head covered up to protect from errant BBs or, as your chosen sport decides. Hats are great sources of added protection. And, if you're playing in harsh conditions (cold, rain, and/or extreme heat) it can offer further security.

Covering your arms is very important; the more coverage the better. Choose jackets or long-sleeved shirts and gloves that allow you to move freely and that are resilient enough for your paintball rumble.

You will need full coverage on your legs for the same reasons you need coverage on your arms. Your pants should not be baggy as they can get caught on branches or obstacles as you dodge incoming shots.

Paintball equipment and clothing come in various colors, styles, and patterns. Everyone likes the coolness factor that comes with classic camouflage; however, some games require that you wear bright colors and opposing team members not wear the same colors. Check with your gaming center prior.

Finally, remember it's still okay to have a bit of fun and make a fashion statement while you're out there making your mark in the trenches. Wear something that makes you stand out in the crowd so that your presence is felt on the playing field.

What you wear in paintball can protect you from painful, avoidable welts or otherwise. Additionally, it should allow for a freedom of movement and ultimate protection. As a rule of thumb, you should choose the longest pants and sleeves available, with a variety of colors and patterns available depending on the game style. Above all, it's important to have a little fun and make a statement, as long as your safety isn't compromised.
